Carissa R. Violante, Graphic Designer
I’ve always considered it important to experience
everything in my life with passion. Choosing a career
path was no different; Graphic Design just felt right.
Design can impact our lives every day and beautifully
designed pieces brighten our visual world.
During my time at UMass Dartmouth, I led the 2009
Senior Design class as president. I also served as
the president of the Communicatus Graphic Arts Club
for the 2008–2009 academic year and, in partnership
with Communicatus, I designed and edited ArtMouth,
a catalog of student work at UMass Dartmouth, from
2007–2008. I am also a member of AIGA, and was an
active part of the student chapter before graduating.
Design is my true passion—there is just something so
seductive about the delicate art of typesetting and
the resulting tangible piece of work. When I work on
a project, I focus on balancing a concept with its final
execution, paying special attention to detail.
